APC youths want Police spokesman, Jimoh Moshood sacked

…Threaten Buhari over re-election bid
The zonal youths forum of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) has demanded an immediate sack of Nigerian Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Jimoh Moshood for allegedly calling Benue State governor Samuel Ortom. “a drowning man.”
The North-central youth wing of the party also asked that the police spokesman should be made to render a public apology to the governor within the next seven days.
In a statement signed on Thursday in Abuja, the Youth Leader, Comrade Terver Aginde also demanded for the total re-organisation of the security agencies in the country.
While calling on President Muhammadu Buhari to wake up and fulfil the promises he made during the 2015 general elections, the zonal youth leader, said: “The youths of North-central would be pushed to the wall if the killings in the North-central states are not stopped. No individual has monopoly of violence.
“President Buhari should wake up and do what he promised Nigerians that he was going to do for Nigerians when he was campaigning for our votes.”
On why the PPRO should be sacked, Aginde said: “We cannot believe that President Buhari’s government that we know of discipline, honesty and integrity, will allow an unprofessional officer like the PPRO and the IGP to be disgracing and tarnishing the image of the government of President Buhari. We also demand for the total reorganization of the security agencies in the country.
“On behalf of the youth of the North Central State of Nigeria, we demand that the PPRO should be sacked and asked to apologize to the governor of Benue State, for calling him a drowning man within seven days.
“The governor of Benue state swore to protect life and property when he was taking oath of office, likewise the president, why play sentiment and politics with the herdsmen crises? We don’t want to believe that the IGP and his co-conspirators are not making fortunes out of the crises just like what allegedly happened during the Boko Haram insurgence under President Jonathan. We say no to cattle colony in the North-Central.”
