APC Zango-Kataf praises state chairman, urges support for El-Rufai

Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zango-Kataf local government area of Kaduna state have passed vote of confidence on the state party chairman, retired Air Commodore Emmanuel Kabirat Jekada, for his exemplary leadership in the running of party’s affairs.

The members, who equally urged for cooperation with Governor Nasir El-Rufai during his second term, took the decision during stakeholders’ meeting at the party secretariat in Zonkwa last week where they assessed the performance of the party in the last general elections.

A statement signed by the chairman of the Zone, Mr Alphonsus Shinkut, indicated that the meeting was meant to develop modalities for building an enduring peace in the area, stating that members were satisfied with the leadership qualities of the chairman and his team.

It praised the chairman for bringing to bear his political maturity in the general elections thereby ensuring victory for President Muhammadu Buhari, Governor Nasir El-Rufai and National and the state Assembly members.

According to the statement, the Kaduna State House of Assembly Service Commission, permanent commissioner, Mr. Andrew Sarki, lauded the chairman for his prudence, carrying all members along, adding that commitment to the course of the party.

“The chairman’s track record of transparency and valuable contributions to the development of the party in the area and the state in general has brought sanity into the party.”

Meanwhile, Jekada has urged stakeholders in the Zone to work hard to avoid a repeat of the party’s less than 100 percent performance in the last general elections and gear up for better result in 2023.

“Some stakeholders in the zone have not been honest and were responsible for the party dismal performance, because they failed to disburse the resources in their care to the party members” he alleged and urged all to cooperate with the administration of El-Rufai for good governance.
