APC’ll retain power in Oyo State – Oke

The All Progressives Congress (APC) chairman in Oyo State, Chief Akin Oke, yesterday said the party would remain in power in the state beyond 2019.

The chairman, who spoke on the success of the party’s ongoing rallies, expressed optimism about the chances of his party at the general elections.

“I have no doubt that we have done well in Oyo state and even at the federal level. The mammoth crowd that came out to welcome President Muhammadu Buhari to Ibadan over the weekend is a testimony to our good work.

“I am very optimistic that Adebayo Adelabu will be returned as the Governor-elect on March 2; we have been going round to campaign and you can see the love and turnout.

“Our incumbent Governor(Abiola Ajimobi) has made it easy for us to win with his landmark achievements in all sectors, the people of the state are happy with him and our party.

“We are quite sure of victory for President Buhari on February 16 and March 2 for our gubernatorial candidate, and we promise to continue to put the people first in all our programmes,” he said. (NAN)
