APGA chieftain nurses fear of party losing Bayelsa, Kogi

The former deputy national Secretary of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Mr Jerry Obasi , Monday called for peace in the party.

He said prolonged crisis among members of the party may ruin its chances of securing Bayelsa and Kogi states in the forthcoming governorship elections.

Obasi who spoke to journalists in Abakaliki, regretted that leadership of the party has continued to violate court decisions on the crisis .

He said, “It is unfortunate that APGA is lying in comatose. APGA presently has no leadership because the courts ordered Chief Victor Oye not to conduct National convention.

“So long as these courts decisions on Oye remain consistent, it is unfortunate that APGA may not contest Kogi and Bayelsa governorship elections next month.

“Stakeholders of APGA should sit down with the warring parties and iron things out. There should be free and fair national convention and

congresses that must be accepted by all”, he said.
