The National Chairman of All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, Chief Victor Oye, has reiterated the needs for Nigerians to always promote ideals capable of engendering peaceful co-existence despite religious and ethnicity diversities.
According to Oye, peace is a cardinal rule of unity in the country and could only be achieved when the citizenry see each other as one and work in that capacity in their individual and collective endeavours.
The APGA national Chairman stated this while receiving Award of Leadership Excellency from the Rotary Club of Awka, Rotary International , District 9142, where he was incidentally installed as Paul Harris Fellow (PHF) of Rotary International.
He urged members of the club (Rotarians) in the country not to relent in their service to humanity especially their fight against polio virus in the world and prayed for God’s blessings on them.
In their separate speeches, earlier, the immediate chapter president of the club adviced his successor on upholding the guiding principles of Rotary International of a strong, common purpose and direction, while his successor, Prof. Uche Nwogwugwu installed as 36 president of the club, pledged to run a transparent administration in line with the objective of rotary and its Four Way Test.
