When the late Deborah Samuel was murdered by religious fanatics at the Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto, most of the politicians, governors, senators and house of reps members fell silent and it was only the venerable Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere amongst all political and religious leaders who was compassionate and courageous enough to relocate the family of the late teenager from Sokoto to Port Harcourt, more than 500 kms away, providing them with free housing, free education, free feeding and free training in vocational skills to make them self-reliant and self-sustaining.
All the so-called presidential candidates and their influential loyalists did not offer any support or condemnation of her murder for fear of losing votes. This is to prove beyond all shadow of doubt that Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere is far ahead and above any political personality or interest in Nigeria and is morally, spiritually and ethically superior to any religious figure in the nation if we take his philantrophic and humanistic endeavours into consideration: For instance, young women who have been trafficked as sex slaves have been liberated from their brothels by Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere and given free accommodation, trained in various skills and occupations while their children have been enrolled in the OPM Foundation’s free education program.
The venerable Apostle has also rescued many pregnant young women who were kept in illegal baby factories, giving them free accommodation and training them in uplifting skills acquisition programs. His empowerment and upliftment programs include a skills acquisition scheme to equip beneficiaries for hairdressing, tailoring, bead making, aquaculture, poultry, animal husbandry and more; the ‘Operation 45,000 Free Schools’ project designed to train over 45,000 less privileged children in standard schools constructed by OPM Foundation throughout Nigeria. The beneficiaries are provided with free textbooks, free uniforms, and they even go on excursions within and outside the country; the establishment of the first all-girls Technical College in Africa totally free of tuition, accommodation, or any other fee.
The girls-only technical college is the first of its kind in Africa. The donation of a plot of land and farm seedlings to each of 100 individuals to enable them embark on subsistence and commercial. The anti-human trafficking program of rescuing 11 pregnant young girls who had been trafficked to a fake orphanage and kept in unlawful custody, so that when they were delivered of babies they would be sold and the young mothers promised money by the traffickers.
OPM Foundation gave the pregnant ladies free feeding and accommodation, and registered them in ante-natal care programs free of charge. The girls have been trained in various skills and are presently enrolled free of charge in the OPM Foundation standard schools.
The anti-prostitution program of the OPM Foundation that converted 36 former commercial sex workers within Rivers state. They were offered free accommodation and food, while they were trained in several skills. Those with children had their kids enrolled in the free OPM schools program. Several of the former sex workers are now happily married. The OPM Foundation operates free boutiques were clothes, shoes, hats, etc. are shared to the less privileged; free computer training centre at Elele Prisons; free tailoring and computer centre at Rumuyi, Emohua LGA, Rivers State; OPM free restaurant in Port Harcourt, Rivers State; Free primary and nursery school at Ohanku, Abia state; free ICT-based nursery/primary school in Port Harcourt, Rivers state; construction of free housing estates in Rumoukwurusho, Rumuigbo and Aluu communities in Rivers state to accommodate vulnerable persons; the construction of two-bedroom flats for numerous widows; the establishment of a multi-skill acquisition centre to train Nigerians in oil and gas, carpentry, tailoring, rig welding, free driving school etc; free lunch, free computer training, free textbooks and fully equipped laboratory for students in Port Harcourt; the provision of free water borehole for Nkukpuwa community in Abia state; feeding and caring for thousands of homeless people in Houston, Texas.
The OPM Foundation also rehabilitated militants, armed robbers and commercial sex workers, feed them every day and also give them free accomodation. The OPM Foundation’s other achievements include empowerment, alms-giving and commissioning of a free Computer Training Centre at Elele prison in Rivers State, the award of university scholarship to the poor apart from the free nursery, primary and secondary schools education to many indigent students.
It has also commissioned a free tailoring centre and provided water borehole to the people of Rumuji and other communities in Rivers, to alleviate the problem of water scarcity in the area. Over 50 assault rifles were recovered by the OPM Foundation from suspected cultists and handed over to the police as part of Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere’s social rehabilitation and crime prevention action program.
Also the OPM Foundation has a 150 plots farm located in Rivers State for repentant militants and repentant commercial sex workers to cultivate tomatoes, yams, onions, vegetables etc in order to feed their families and generate income for themselves.
OPM has free specialized hospitals located in Port Harcourt, River State and Ohanku, Abia State that since inception has delivered over 1,775 babies (549 in Rivers and 1,226 in Abia State) while providing free ante-natal for thousands of expectant mothers. In furtherance of its humanitarian mission, Apostle Chinyere OPM Foundation has rehabilitated over 3,000 youths from social vices like kidnapping, drug abuse, armed robbery, cultism, prostitution etc, recovering numerous firearms like machine guns, pistols, rounds of ammunition for the Nigerian Police Force, providing free accommodations and feeding for many youths while enrolling them in skills acquisition programs in the foundation’s vocational centre in Port Harcourt.
The OPM foundation has also sponsored 45 students to Turkey for first degree programs under OPM scholarship while also donating a fully equipped life support ambulance to the Rivers State Government to further its health program.
This precedent-shattering harvest of humanitarian and philantrophic achievements is unequalled and unchallenged in the annals of Nigerian history,not even a president, military head of state,governor, senator, house of reps member, local government chairman, corporate tycoon or non-governmental organisation for that matter can match or even approach the scope and breadth of Apostle Chibuzor’s earth-shaking philantrophic programs and projects. During the Covid-19 lockdown, when many of the prominent churches failed to provide palliatives like foodstuffs, provisions, beddings, clothings etc to their members and other less privileged members of society, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere mandated the provision of free take way meals by the OPM Restaurant to residents of Port Harcourt and its environs as the stay at home order by the state government did not allow people to go to the markets and shops to buy foodstuffs and other provisions. According to the benevolent Man of God, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere: ‘the reason for the takeaway meals is to maintain social distancing and ensure that government policies on coronavirus are kept while the poor and less privileged are saved from hunger and starvation.
The food is for everybody just like our schools and hospitals, for Christians Muslims and pagans. My vision is not to buy a private jet but to prepare people to make heaven’. Having attained this Olympian height of spiritual, humanitarian, humanistic and altruistic exertions on behalf of the less privileged, the vulnerable and the marginalized segments of society, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere is unequivocally a first among equals and is unarguably the No1 spiritual and religious leader in Nigeria and globally is second only to Pope Francis, the spiritual head of the Roman Catholic Church; let us be bold to call a spade a spade and not a garden tool.
Let us tell the truth as it is not caring whose ox or oxen is gored in the process. So for any one to fathom for even for a second that the unimpeachable Man of God, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere,Dr Jesus will stoop so low as to endorse any politician or presidential candidate, all of whom cannot match his all-encompassing achievements in the human empowerment, emancipation and enlightenment arena is the stuff of political tomfoolery and electoral skulduggery of the highest order. For the avoidance of doubt, let the politicians and their acolytes and foot soldiers repeat after me: ‘APOSTLE CHIBUZOR CHINYERE IS FAR AND ABOVE PARTISAN POLITICS’. QED
