Appeal court judgement ‘ll stabilise polity –Uwajumogu

Chairman Senate committee on employment, labour and productivity Senator Benjamin Uwajumogu has congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari on his victory at the Court of Appeal, stating the victory would stabilise the polity.

The Senator representing Imo North Senatorial District, enjoined Nigerians to continue to pray for the president’s success in office.

Uwajumogu in a statement, Friday in Abuja, said: “I am more than convinced that with the support and cooperation of all Nigerians, Mr President would no doubt lead the country to the Promised Land.”

He said with this judgement, the President would now focus on creating more employment opportunities for young people in the country.

He equally advised the opposition not to appeal the judgement because “it is certainly going to be an effort in futility.”

Meanwhile, the lawmaker has commended the chief executive officer of Air Peace Allen Onyema for airlifting Nigerian victims of Xenophobic attacks in South Africa to the Nigeria.

He described the act as “a rare patriotic zeal.”

Uwajumogu charged other business men and women to emulate the gesture, stressing the need for Nigerians to do business with conscience.

He appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari to make provision for the rehabilitation and integration of the returnees into the social investment scheme.
