With all due respect and loyalty, sir, I would like to draw your attention and give a piece of admonition on the massive impending flood that would submerge the Hadejia local government area which as declared by Mr. Nuhu Jibo, United Nations focal person on climate change.
Jibo warned that the earth observation satellite data has already shown that disaster is looming.
Sir, you are aware that massive flooding that occurred last in Hadejia and Jigawa state in particular led to the destruction of public properties and loss of many lives.
More so, ever since that sad experience of last year, no positive and preventive action has been taken to avoid its recurrence.
However, the principal victims are farmers whose farm lands were totally destroyed washing away all their planted crops. As a result of this people started lamenting about food shortage amongst the people of some affected areas.
In a nutshell, I would like to appeal that you meticulously put in place timely remedial measures in order to save the lives and properties of your state citizens. Also, find out the major cause of that flooding and a way to halt its recurrence. But this would only be perfectly achieved in collaboration with the government of the federation due to the fact that, it is a capital intensive project.
