Blueprint Newspaper Chief Operating Officer (COO)/ Executive Director, Salisu Umar, has urged staff to approach 2021 with great team spirit to achieve it’s organisational goals.
Salisu made this call Wednesday in his new year message to his staff members.
He particularly urged them to build a formidable paper of their dream.
He said, “It’s with utmost pleasure and joy that I officially thank the entire staff members for your collective efforts and dedication towards ensuring the sustenance of our project-Blueprint Newspapers.
“Notwithstanding the challenges the company faced in 2020 following the emergence of the dreaded COVID-19 pandemic that came as a hurricane and brought down the economy of the nation, nay, the world, almost to a standstill, we all toiled day and night to ensure the project did not crumble as experienced by other businesses around the world.
“It is to the glory of Almighty God that in the face of these teething challenges, your dear company was able to significantly meet up with its obligations towards the staffers.
“The zeal and dedication shown on your side are highly commendable.Last year, we introduced the vernacular paper- Manhaja- and today, we have successfully published 4 editions, and the paper has, by the grace of God, come to stay.
“While welcoming you all to the year 2021- another promising one for the company and all of us-. I am particularly grateful to God Almighty for sparing the lives of the staffers to witness yet another year in our earthly sojourn.
” Of course there were challenges here and there during the outgone year, but we still have cause to give gratitude to our creator that we all were able to survive the turbulence that came with 2020. So far, no negative reports from any of the staff being sick or involved in any misfortune.
“Once again, I must sincerely thank God for allowing us to witness the new year healthy and hearty.I would like to further urge you all to work with the same resilience and zeal you showed last year as the company marks its 10 year anniversary this year.
“By His grace, together we shall celebrate our success story. On my part, I assure you that management shall ensure your entitlements are given topmost priority.
“Therefore, I request all of us to join hands in building a formidable paper of our dream.It is my prayer we all live to enjoy the accompanying gains from this feat.And as we strive to stay safe in the wake of the second wave of the pandemic, please accept my warm felicitations as I wish you the best of the year 2021.”
He reaffirmed the management commitment towards the welfare of all staff.
