Ara community decries mast hazards

The Ara Community in Nasarawa local government area, Nasarawa state, has decried the risk hazard of an uncompleted Etisalat Mast in the community.
The community in a statement issued by one of its sons, Adiheneuk Abdulsalam Baba, yesterday, in Jos, stated that the halted construction of an Etisalat mast posed a threat to the people.
He said: “We wish to bring to the attention of Etisalat management of the hazard facing the people of ARA community in Nasarawa local government of Plateau state as a result of an abandoned antenna mast which construction work was started in 2012, but to date had not been completed.
“All appeals to get Etisalat to come and complete the work have fallen on deaf ears. We, therefore, resolved to use this medium to reach Etisalat, hoping that it will come to our rescue.”
According to statement, Etisalat will benefit immensely if the mast installation is completed, besides helping in getting the community out of the hazard it poses to them.
