We the Change Makers Forum write to appeal to the inspector general of police and commissioner of Police in Delta state to please see that the continuous extortion of commercial biker riders in Ogwashi-Ukwu, capital of Aniocha South local government area of Delta state, stops.
Even poor farmers who transport their goods to the various markets in communities in Aniocha south are not left out of this inhuman treatment by policemen and traffic wardens. What puzzles us the most is that these officers force people to part with their hard earned monies making it that they must pay otherwise they would be detained until their passengers are forced to leave the poor bike riders to their own fate with these policemen which makes us to now ask if the police are truly our friends?
