Aremu bows out as Anambra NYSC gets new Coordinator

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Anambra State, Wednesday, welcomed it’s new State Coordinator, Mrs Yetunde Baderinwa.

Baderinwa, a native of Ondo State who served as Deputy Director, Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development, Abuja, would be replacing Mr. Kehinde Aremu recently transferred to Human Resource Management Department of NYSC Abuja headquarters.

Baderinwa, while adressing the management staff of the scheme at the state Secretariat, said she was not unsettled on receiving her posting letter, particularly in view of the personality she was taking over from.

She commended her predecessor, noting, “When this posting came out and I saw it is Anambra, I had rest of mind because I know I have a backbone. Since my arrival, I’ve been feeling very comfortable because I know I’m at home. This is my first time in Anambra, though I’ve passed through the state to other states.”

The new NYSC boss, while assuring that her tenure would be transparent, promised to run an open door policy, even as she solicited support from members of staff of the organisation.

Earlier, the outgoing Coordinator, Aremu who described his three-year old tenure in the state as amazing, attributed the success stories recorded while he held sway to the support from his entire staff, urging them to extend same to his successor.

He said, “The three years I’ve spent here is amazing. I appreciate you all, but my joy will be complete if we keep the standard higher. One of my motivational slogans is, ‘one thing I do daily is to look for better ways of doing things, how I can improve from yesterday irrespective of the challenges. I aspire to do better.”
