The Arewa Pastors Forum for Peace in Nigeria, has extoled the strides of the Inspector General of Police, (IGP) Ibrahim idris, as it concerns rapid improvement in the nation’s security since the IGP assumed duty.
Led by Bishop John Richard on a courtesy call on the IGP, at the Police Force Headquarters in Abuja recently, the forum said they were at the Force Headquarters to among other things, congratulate and felicitate with the police boss on his confirmation as the 19th indigenous IGP.

Bishop Richard encouraged him to do more as his sterling qualities have inevitably raised the expectations of Nigerians in securing lives and property across the country.
While responding, the IGP noted that the visit of members of the forum was symbolic, as it came on his 100th day in office, stating that he was humbled by the show of love from such revered men of God.
He urged the forum to uphold and encourage societal morals among their folks, saying these morals were universal irrespective of religious affiliation, just as he enjoined them to support what is right at all the time.
IGP Idris urged them to use their positions and wealth of experience to support the Nigeria Police Force in maintaining peace throughout the country, pointing out that religious leaders and the police were natural allies.
