Arewa Youth President, Yusuf cries out, alleges threat to life

The The President of the Arewa Consultative Youth Movement, Mallam Kabiru Yusuf, has raised the alarm over threat to his life.

Yusuf, who raised the alarm Wednesday in a statement, said that persons suspected to be security  officers  have been sighted around his home twice.

He said the development is not unconnected to his role for being part of those, who exposed the plot by the DSS to frame the Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr. Godwin Emefiele for terrorism financing and other crimes.

He said he was not sure though of the identity of those visitors, but because of the state of insecurity in the country, one could not be sure of who people are.

He said: “If the DG DSS says that we committed any crime, he should boldly invite us and he would see that all the members of the leadership of the Coalition of National Interest Defenders would be at his office.

“We are law abiding citizens and we will respect every lawful invitation by any security agency.”

When asked if he was worried of being arrested in a phone interview by one of our correspondents, Mallam Yusuf said “having not committed any crime, I am not afraid. He cannot hold us illegally forever because he cannot charge us to court. So I am not afraid.”
