Army holds promotion exams

In line with the Nigerian Army (NA) Forecast of Events 2018, the Headquarters Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) Nigerian Army will conduct the Lieutenant to Captain Practical Promotion Examination (LCPPE) 2018 within 6 Division Area of Responsibility.
According to the spokesperson of the Division, Col. Aminu Iliyasu said all arrangement had been concluded by the 6 Division Nigerian Army to host the LCPPE exams 12 – 16 February 2018 within Port Harcourt and environs.
He said: “About 173 candidates will be tested on Map Reading, Tactics and Low Intensity Conflicts, Communications, French Language and Staff Duties. The Examination is intended to test the professional and intellectual ability of the candidates as well as to improve on their knowledge base and capacity in the discharge of their professional duties.
“Representatives from the Department of Army Training and Operations, Team of Observers from Army Headquarters (AHQ) Departments, members of the Examination Panel and Directing Staff (DS) drawn from formations and units of the NA will participate in the conduct of the Examinations.
“The Examination President who is also the Commander TRADOC NA, Major General Adeku Salihu will address DS and the candidates for the LCPPE 2018 at the 6 Division Python Officer’s Mess in Port Harcourt Barracks on Sunday 11 February 2018 by 3:00pm and 4:00pm respectively.
“Similarly, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 6 Division NA who is also the Chief Host, Major General Musa Sani Yusuf will also be at the occasion. Consequently, there will be movement of Military vehicles and personnel to and fro selected examination locations within Port Harcourt and it’s environs. The general public particularly residents of Port Harcourt are hereby informed and advised not to panic on seeing consistent movements of troops within the stipulated period of the Examination.”
