Arsenal boss delighted at Iwobi contract extension

Arsenal head coach Unai Emery has expressed his delight following confirmation that Alex Iwobi has penned a new long-term deal with the club.
The 22-year-old was linked with a move away from the Gunners, but those rumours were put to bed when it was announced late last week that he had put pen-to-paper on a fresh deal.
“I’m very pleased Alex has signed a new contract with us,” Emery is quoted as saying.
“He is a great example of a player who can succeed from the academy through hard work and I look forward to working with him and our other talented young players in the squad.” The Nigeria international has scored nine goals in 98 appearances for the Gunners since making his First Team debut in 2015 against Sheffield Wednesday.
