As ex-Minister leads door-to-door campaign for Lalong: Over 10,000 KOWA, SDP members join APC ahead guber, assembly polls

The former minister of Information and Communications Dasuki Salihu Nakande, Secretary of Jos North local government council Hassan Isa, and other members of the APC embark on Door-to-Door campaign rally for Governor Simon Lalong’s reelection bid.

 Nakande said their evaluation of the last presidential and National Assembly elections prompted them to embark on the intensive Door -to -Door last minutes campaign.

He stated this at the flagging off of the rally held at the Secretariat of Jos North LGA, where KOWA and Social Democratic (SDP) Senatorial as well as House of Representatives candidates led thousands of their supporters to defects to the APC.

He said they are mobilising their strength to ensure that Governor Lalong secured another victory come Saturday 9th March, 2019.

On his part, Commissioner of Transport, Hon. Nazif Ahmad, said they will work hard to ensure that Lalong gets more than 300,000 thousand votes in Jos North.

“In Jos North local government area, we have more than 440,000 voters and we want to deliver at least 350,000 votes to our Governor, Simon Bako Lalong,” he said.

Similarly, the former Plateau North Senatotial candidate of KOWA party, Arch. Salis Muhammad Salis said he has led more than 10,000 of his supporters across the Six LGA’s to joined the APC, “because we have seen many good works and intention of Governor Simon Lalong and the APC, in the state.”

He called on all the People of the state  to vote for Lalong and all other candidates of the APC.

The Door to Door campaign chairman, Hon. Hassan Isa Maimadara, said the campaign strategy is an option to reach out to the door steps of the electorates, ahead of the Governorship and States Assembly elections in the State.
