Ashiru flags-off campaign, pledges quality governance

There was traffic gridlock stretching few kilometers along Kaduna – Zaria highway on Tuesday as Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate, Hon. Isa Ashiru Kudan flagged off his campaign at international trade fair complex Kaduna.

As PDP supporters from within and outside Kaduna state thronged the venue parking their vehicles haphazardly on the shoulder of the highway, traffic quickly built up particularly on the lanes leading to Zaria forcing motorist to abandon the lanes for the other, which was soon blocked also. It took the intervention of road safety men and other security agencies to control traffic and reduce the gridlock.

Isa Ashiru in his address, promised to provide quality governance if voted into power and called on eligible voters to vote for all PDP candidates and ensure that they safeguard their votes on the election days.

“When we formed the next government, we will review cases of those who were wrongly sacked accordingly, including all those who were wrongly prosecuted for criticising the government of the day which has failed in all ramifications.”

PDP presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, who was represented by former Kano state Governor, Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, charged PDP supporters across the state to ensure that PDP candidates are voted all through in the coming elections.

All the dignitaries in attendance who spoke one after the other averred that the ruling All Progressives Congress stands for hunger and poverty and should be voted out at all levels if Nigeria and Nigerians are to move forward.
