ASUU strike: Taraba varsity shutdown academic activities

As the industrial action embarked upon by the Academic Staff Union of University branch of Taraba state university  linger,  the management of the institution Friday send students out of their hostels and shutdown all academic activities.

This directive was contained in a memorandum issued by the authority of the institution directing that all student activities were suspended till further notice.

The memorandum explained that all students must vacate their respective hostels before 8: am on Friday April 26th, 2019.

Blueprint who visited the only state owned University observed that students complied with the directive of the management of the institution.

Students were seen carrying their luggage out of the institution in order to adhere to the directive.

Some of the students who spoke to Blueprint lamented that the order was uncalled for, adding that it is unfair and unexpected as it would affect their academic calendar.

They appealed to the management and concerned authorities to do the needful in order for them to go back to the class.
