Popular hip hop artist, Habib Okikiola popularly known as Portable has finally reported himself to the Ogun police headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta for interrogation into an alleged assault on a boy identified as DJ Chicken.
The Zazu crooner was at the police headquarters at around 5pm, Wednesday with his father and manager.
He was immediately ordered to be taken to the public complain bureau office by the commissioner of police, CP Lanre Bankole, where he was interrogated.
The police had declared the hip hop artists wanted over his role in the assault melted out on DJ Chicken in a viral video last week.
The command’s spokesperson, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, in a statement made available to Blueprint Thursday, stated that Portable was however release after interrogation to a reliable surety, with a promise to produce him whenever needed.
“Since the offence committed is a bailable one, and couple with the strike action embarked upon by the civil servants in the state which also affected the courts, the suspect was released to a reliable surety who promised to produce him anytime he is needed.
“Meanwhile, the assaulted victim has also been invited to come and state his own side of the story to enable the command complete her investigation on time”, Oyeyemi stated.
