Atiku supporters destroyed PDP Presidential billboards -Umahi

Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi state has alleged that the Atiku /Obi campaign billboard that was destroyed in Abakaliki was done by members of Friends of Atiku (FOA) campaign group.

He said no billboard belonging to any presidential campaign has ever been destroyed in Ebonyi.

The Governor however maintained that the state remains a PDP state, and would gain nothing by destroying the opposition party billboards talk more of their own presidential candidate’s billboard.

Umahi disclosed this on Tuesday at the Exco Chambers Government House Abakaliki during the swearing in of some commissioner and Special Advisers.

He said: “A lot of us sit and complain Oh nothing is coming, what you want to come? God says no food for lazy man.

“I read on online about a support group that the bill board was been destroyed, and i know the character behind the installation of the billboard because he is not getting enough attention he has to destroy it to get necessary attention.

“And for me it is ingenuity, I have told my people instead of sitting down and doing nothing, destroy something and start fixing it back. So the guy has no work no attention Ebonyi state is united under Divine Mandate.

“So the guy out of ingenuity and evil genius that he destroyed it. Nobody is destroying Atiku billboard in this state, nobody is destroying the President billboard we are very law abiding”.

The governor at the occassion officially sworn – in Dr Kenneth Ugbala who initially was his Senior Special Adviser on Internal Security as Commissioner of Internal security and Boarder Peace, Mr Ogbonnaya Chukwu Senior Special Advicer on Investment to Commissioner for Budget, Planning and Research.
