Atiku to commission 10-lane ring road in Akwa Ibom

All is now set for the commissioning of the 9.5 kilometers, 10-lane Idongesit Nkanga Avenue and Clement Isong Avenue in Uyo by former vice president and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

It is part of activities to celebrate Akwa Ibom state’s 35th anniversary.

This was contained in a statement signed by the chairman of the Central Planning Committee, and Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Emmanuel Ekuwem, and made available to blueprint Thursday in Uyo.

The statement said the commissioning exercise would takes place 5 pm at the Oron Road Water fountain roundabout.

The managing director of Hensek Integrated Services, Uwem Okoko, Wednesday, conducted journalists who visited the road project alongside some media aides of the Governor round the project.

Okoko stated that the road is made up of more than a 5km drainage tunnel and 10 lane, 9.5 km dual carriage.
