Atiku vows to revive, complete Ajaokuta coy

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate in the February 16 presidential polls, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has vowed to revamp the moribund Ajaokuta Steel Company as part of the processes to redirect the country on the path of infrastructural development, create jobs and ensure robust economy.

Atiku said he would get the Steel Company, which was stop in 1983 during military regime of President Muhammad Buhari, working if given the mandate to govern the country.

The presidential candidate, who stated this in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital during his presidential campaign yesterday, said that all the hardship inflicted on the people by the APC-led federal government would be resolved through sincere restructure.

According to him, the alarming unemployment, non-payment of salaries and pensions as well as the palpable infrastructural decay in Kogi state and Nigeria at large would be a thing of the past.

“I have been an active player in the Nigeria economy. I have created multiple employment opportunities for hundreds of Nigerians in my private capacity. Revival of this bleeding economy and true federalism through restructuring would be my cardinal objectives” he promised.
In his remark, the Senate President and Director General Atiku/Obi Presidential Campaign, Dr Bukola Saraki, urged the people of Kogi state to put an end to APC  autocratic system of government by voting massively for all the candidates of the People’s Democratic Party in the forthcoming general elections.

Also speaking at the rally the former governor of Kogi State,  Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, stated that the hunger in the last four years should be enough reason to vehemently reject APC government at all levels, adding the good old days when there was surplus of food, prompt payment of salary, security of lives and property will be restored.

The Director General, Atiku/Obi campaign Council, Kogi state, Chief Clarence Olafemi,  said  all the projects in the state today were initiated and executed by PDP-led government, just as he promised that Confluence, Kogi Hotels and other abandoned projects will be rehabilitate.
