Atiku: You cannot crush anybody, Secondus dares Wike

The immediate past National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Uche Secondus, has told Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, that he cannot crush anyone working for the party’s Presidential candidate, former vice president, Atiku Abubakar.

Secondus said anyone is free to support Atiku, noting that Wike is not God.

Wike was reported to have threatened to crush anyone working for Secondus and Atiku in the state ahead of the 2023 presidential elections.

Speaking at the flagging off ceremony of the construction of the internal roads in Omagwa, Ikwerre Local Government Area of the state on Saturday, Wike said, “We removed a National Party Chairman who was not doing well. All of them were here, we all agreed, now they are going to Abuja to hold meetings with the man we removed, thinking that you will use that to fight us, we will crush them.”

But the former National Chairman in a statement by his media adviser Ike Aboyi, Saturday, said, “Prince Uche Secondus has been drawn to the haughty and disdainful threat from Governor Nyesom Wike that he will crush anybody who works with him in support of the PDP Presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar.

“The simple responses of Prince Secondus to the empty threat are Wike you cannot crush anybody, I cannot fight, only God can crush.

“Prince Secondus also drew the attention of Governor Wike to the advisory of the great Nnamdi  Azikiwe to public officers that ‘no condition is permanent and nobody can become Governor of a state or President of this country forever.”
