Attack on Enweremadu, act of gangsterism – Adighije

A front line politician in Abia state and All Progressives Congress

(APC) chieftain, Senator Chris Adighije has condemned the attack on former Deputy Senate President, Senator Ike Enweremadu by Igbo youths in Germany.

Senator Adighije who represented Abia Central Senatorial District between 2003-2007 in  the National Assembly described the attack as an act of gangsterism alien to the Igbos.

He stated   this Tuesday while reacting to the attack  on   Senator Enweremadu by IPOB members.

He said: “Tearing the shirt of former number four citizen of this country, is it the Biafra of our dreams? I think it is most unfortunate. That behaviour has put a question mark on people talking about actualisation of Biafra.”

He said that the perpetrators behaved like irresponsible people pointing out that there are other ways of expressing anger instead of resorting to attacking a man of such standing.

He derided the attackers saying that it is an act of gangsterism and a minus to such a movement as it was criminally executed.

He said IPOB, has no focus and there is no point advising them because they can’t take advise . He added that is one of the major tribes in

Nigeria.

“True Igbos don’t behave like that. We respect constituted authority.

We are disciplined people and that kind of attack on Enweremadu is alien to our people,”Adighije said.

Senator Chris Adighije commended Dr Uche Sampson Ogah on his appointment as a minister from Abia state adding that it  is a good development for the state.
