Attacks: Zamfara govt releases N27m, grains to survivors

In fulfilment of his pledge, Governor Abdul-Aziz Yari of Zamfara state has ordered the release of N27 million to the families of the 27 persons killed by unknown gunmen at Tugar Rakumi village in Maru local government area.

Blueprint recalled that residents of Tungar Rakumi in Maru local government area were last month attacked by hoodlums and killed 27 persons, including a police officer.

Presenting the cash donation, the Executive Secretary, State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Malam Atiku Sani Maradun, said the financial donation was to support the family of the dead persons and those sustained injury.

He further said each family of the 27 deceased persons would be giving N500, 000 with bags of assorted foodstuff, while those Injured each would have N100, 000 and foodstuff.
Maradun, however said, government had provided cement and roofing zinc to the victims, whose houses were destroyed by the bandits.
