Attention, INEC chairman

The seat of Awgu North State Constituency in the Enugu State House of Assembly has been vacant since last December when the occupier of the seat, Ude Okoye, purportedly resigned to contest the position of the National Youth Leader in the Peoples Democratic Party and won.
The seat has been vacant till now and the people of Awgu North State Constituency have been denied representation in the state House of Assembly till now.
I want to use this medium to call on the Independent National Electoral Commission and the Governor of Enugu State, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and the Speaker of Enugu State House of Assembly to do the needful and conduct the assembly bye-election to fill the vacant position created by Okoye’s resignation.
The 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended in Section 109(1)e mandates the Speaker to declare the seat vacant and INEC to conduct a bye-election after a specified time.
