I wish to bring to the attention of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission the case of outrageous estimated billing at my residence on Tariff code R2TP, with Account Number: 0100693685 by the Ikeja Electric.
I was billed N16,023,00 for June 2019. In the past, I had been billed as much as N20,000 and more. Incidentally, the building is purely residential and has always been.
The N16,023,00 billed is outrageous considering the fact that I don’t run a factory in my flat and that it’s only just my family consisting my husband and two infants who live in the flat, plus my elderly parents, when they come on occasional visits.
I had had cause to complain to the Somolu Business Unit over estimated billing on the above account number (0100693685) without reprieve. Sadly, the company has refused to provide me with prepaid meter.
I am using this medium to plead with NERC to save me from IKEDC’s unending economic strangulation and emotional torture in these hard times. Enough of this nonsense, I need a prepaid meter, please.
