Auto crash claims 9 in Taraba

No fewer than nine passengers were Tuesday around 5pm burnt to ashes along Jalingo Lankaviri-Yola in Taraba state.

An eyewitness, Garba Usani, who is a Jalingo based mechanic, told Blueprint that the incident occurred when a vehicle conveying nine persons tried to dulge a porthole.

He noted that the car belong to a transport firm, Kakara transport company.

He stressed that the vehicle after sumasulted three times later bursted into flame.

He stressed that the vehicle was on high speed, nothing that all the occupants of vehicle were burnt beyond recognition.

He begged drivers to always maintain speed limits especially now that most of the Nigerian reads are in bad condition.

“The drives should also remember that life of those they are carrying is important, so they must at all point avoid over speading” he noted.

He called on Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA) to as a matter of urgency repear all federal reads that are currently in bad shape to avoid recurrence of such accident.
