The average price of one dozen of Agric eggs medium size decreased year-on-year by -2.58 per cent and month-on month by -1.37 per cent to N461.89 in August 2019 from N468.31 in July 2019, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), has said.
The statistics bureau in the Selected Food Prices Watch report for August 2019 noted that while the average price of piece of Agric eggs medium size (price of one) decreased year-on-year by -2.93 per cent and increased month-on-month by 5.70 per cent to N40.57 in August 2019 from N38.38 in July 2019.
The average price of 1kg of tomato decreased year-on-year by -33.50 per cent and increased month-on-month by 9.98 per cent to N223.86 in August 2019 from N203.55 in July 2019, the report added.
