Awoniyi ready to quit Liverpool

Taiwo Awoniyi is open to quit Liverpool after he signed for the Premier League club five years ago and he has been shipped out on loan seven times.

Awoniyi, who is currently on loan to Bundesliga club Union Berlin, said he wishes to sign a permanent deal as a loaned player is often not given enough opportunities.

“It’s time for you to make yourself permanent (have a permanent contract), we will see how it goes,” Awoniyi said in an interview with ESPN.

“Most of the loans (I have gone to) have not been how I wanted them to be because the loaned player has less an advantage than a player of the club.

“You are not given as much opportunities to show what you care capable of.”

Awoniyi has yet to play in the Premier League as he has not been granted a work permit in the UK.

He has so far played on loan in Germany, Belgium and Holland.
