The Nigerian Civil Aviation (NCAA), says Azman Air has satisfactorily completed safety audit and implementation corrective action as recommended.

The management of the airline in a statement said the lifting of suspension on the airline was confirmed in a meeting held between the management of Azman and NCAA on May 1, 2021.

The NCAA had on March 16, 2021 grounded Azman Air following series of incidents involving Azman Air Boeing 737 Aircraft, the Nigerian Civil Aviation (NCAA) has pursuant to Section 35 (2) of the Civil Aviation Act, 2006 and Part 1.3.3.3 (A) of the Civil Aviation Regulations (Nig.CARs) 2015, suspended the operations of all the Boeing 737 Aircraft in the Fleet of Azman Air Services Limited, with effect from March 15, 2021.

The suspension was to enable the conduct an audit of the airline to determine the root cause(s) of the incidents, and recommend corrective actions to forestall re-occurrence.
