Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa has commiserated with the government and people of Bauchi state over the death of the Emir of Katagum, Alhaji Kabir Umar, who died over the weekend at the age of 89.
A condolence message signed by the Special Assistant on Media and Publicity the governor, Malam Bello Muhammad Zaki, said Badaru received the sad news of the death of late Kabir with shock, and described him as one who relentlessly served his people with zeal and dexterity for quite a long time.
The governor prayed that Almighty Allah will grant the late emir Jannatul Firdausi and give his family and the entire Muslim Ummah the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
