Bala honours contractor for donating 2 classrooms to Bauchi

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi state has honoured a construction firm, BashDee Transport Limited for donating two classrooms to a primary school in Bauchi. 


It will be recalled that the governor awarded a contract for the construction of three classrooms to the company in Shadawanka Army Barracks primary school Bauchi.


The contractor has after executing the project built two more classrooms and donated them to the state.


The award was presented to the contractor at the official commissioning of the 2019 UBEC/SUBEB Intervention Project held at Shadawanka Primary School, Army Barrack, Bauchi.


Bala said the contractor deserved the award as a mark of recognition for his contribution towards the growth and development of Bauchi state.


According to the governor, the contractor has constructed two additional classrooms free of charge in addition to the three awarded to him.


To this end, the governor pledged that his administration will continue to work with the BashDee Transport Limited in the execution of programmes and projects especially construction of classrooms for the educational advancement of the state. 


“On behalf of the Government and people of Bauchi state, it is my honour and privilege to present this commendation letter to the Managing Director of BashDee Transport Limited for the good gesture he did to us. We have seen the good work done by the contractor particularly construction of two classrooms that was not part of the contract.” He said.


Responding, the Managing Director of BashDee Transport Limited, Alhaji Bashir Isah appreciated Governor Bala Mohammed for the gesture and pledged to reciprocate it by engaging in other corporate social responsibilities for the benefit of the state. 


Bashir Isah said his company constructed the additional two classrooms which are not part of the contract’s schedule to appreciate the administration of Governor Bala Mohammed for giving him the opportunity to execute some projects in the state.
