Balarabe charges politicians against violence

Kaduna state deputy governor, Dr Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, has enjoined politicians to play the game according to the rules devoid of violence or hatred.

Speaking in Kaduna Monday during the inauguration and swearing in of APC committees on the re-run elections in two local governments of Kagarko and Sanga respectively, she emphasized the fact  that it is only when the rules of politics are followed by the players that the nation can enjoy peace.

The deputy governor said although the two steering committees were mandated to work hard and win the elections for the All Progressive Party (APC), it is also important to ensure that things are done accordingly.

“As members of these important committees, you are chosen based your record of achievements in your respective fields and you should be wary of those who may be willing to cause political upheaval during the assignment,” she stated.

Dr. Hadiza said, “as important as the assignment is, you should work as a formidable team and win the elections in the two areas. I have confidence that with you on the field, victory is certain for our party APC,” she said

The chairman of the party, retired Air-Commodore EK Jekada urged the campaign committees to work together to win the elections as  APC in the state is committed to success at the polls in the two local government councils.

“Therefore our victory is a task that must be done, hence, we must not underrate the task that lies ahead of us, to bring success to our party,” he advised.

He stated that the success expected of the campaign committees must start with their mindset, adding that the entire party has an irresistible commitment to ensure success of the re-run and urged them to remain unshakably focused to the task ahead.

“I also wish to emphasise that your appointment into this all important committee is due to the party’s believe in your capability to deliver as expected and because of your commitment and loyalty to the party,” the party chairman said.
