Bandits kidnap Zamfara APC Chair’s children, injures

Six children of the Zamfara state All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman, Alhaji Sani Gyare Kadauri, have been kidnapped by suspected unrepentant bandits in Kadauri Village, Jabaka District in Maru Local Government Council.

Narrating the ordeal in an interview with, Friday, to Blueprint Weekend, Alhaji Kadauri said the bandits invaded Kadauri Village around 2am and went straight to his personal house and kidnapped his six children.

According to him, the Bandits also moved to his friend’s house Alhaji Sani Yellow and kidnapped his daughter Amina Sani Yellow.

“I was in my house in Gusau, when they came to our village, the Bandits went straight to my house to kidnap me but they saw my six male children and a daughter of my close friend,” he said.

He further stated that the bandits also shot one Rabi’u Danmaidamma dunow who is receiving medical attention at the Federal Medical Centre Gusau.

The party chairman lamented that absence of security personnel in the area and appealed to federal and state government to deploy more troops to the area.

When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for the state, SP Muhammad Shehu, said they yet to be informed by the Divisional Police Office (DPO) in Maru Local Government on the matter.
