Baraje empowers Kwarans with N4m cash

All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Alhaij Abubakar Kawau Baraje, has given out over N4million cash empowerment to beneficiaries of five wards of Magagjin Gerin, Ilorin West local government area of Kwara state.
The Magajin-Gerin constituencies consist of Magajin Geri, Baboko, Badari, Oko-Erin and Wara Osin.
Among the beneficiary was a ward chairman, Alhaji Abass Karara, who got the sum of N500, 000 to carry out an orthopedic surgery on his leg, a transporter who got the sum of N300, 000 to boost his transportation business and a student of Kwara state University Malete, Miss Sherifat Saka, who got assistance for the payment of her school fees.
Others, who benefited from the Baraje empowerment assistance included five male youths and women from each ward who got the total sum N1.3milion with each of them going home N50,000 each.
Also 33 Imams in the five wards shared the sum of N1million while another 27 persons got the sum of N270, 000 based on individual requests, ranging from assistance for medical bills to school fees among others.
Director- General of Abubakar Bukola Saraki’s (ABS) Mandate constituency office, Alhaji Musa Abdullahi, who presented the cash gifts to the beneficiaries at the programme held at Baraje’s personal residence in GRA Ilorin, described the assistance rendered by the APC chieftain as ‘‘mother of all empowerments.’’
The ABS director -general said the assistances rendered to the beneficiaries would have direct impacts on their lives’’.
He urged the beneficiaries to reciprocate the gestures by voting en masse for the party and its candidates in future elections.
