Bauchi 2023: APC guber candidate seeks support of former governors, stakeholders

The gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi state, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar (rtd), yesterday sought for the support and cooperation of all the former governors and all the relevant stakeholders of the party to support his ambition to enable him succeed in the forthcoming governorship election.

Sadique made the appeal at APC presidential campaign rally of Bola Ahmed Tinubu attended by President Muhammadu Buhari, APC governors among others held at Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium, Bauchi.

The APC gubernatorial candidate said the support of all the stakeholders to his ambition will assist him to emerge victorious in the polls in order to save the state from the mal-administration of the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.

He assured that if elected, his administration will remain focus in addressing the out of school children phenomenon, challenges in healthcare delivery, providing job opportunities as well as ensure positive improvement in critical sectors of the state’s economy.

“As you all know, I have the leadership skills to manage our people in Bauchi if given the opportunity by doing justice to all. I am requesting all the former Governors of Bauchi State and all our stakeholders to support my gubernatorial ambition for me to succeed in the upcoming polls against candidate of the ruling PDP.

“You have seen what I have done in the Nigerian Air Force, Insha Allah if you voted us into power, we will do our best in serving the state.”

Also speaking, the director-general of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council and governor of Plateau State, Simon Lalong told a mammoth crowd at the presidential campaign rally that all northern governors are behind the party’s presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

He said President Muhammadu Buhari’s legacy of transferring Bauchi to the Jagaban of Borgu (Tinubu) would be jealously guided by Bauchi APC governorship candidate, Air Marshal Sadique Baba Abubakar (rtd).
