Bauchi APC chairman turbanned as Garkuwan Ningi

 

Emir of Ningi in Bauchi state, Alhaji Yunusa Danyaya, has turbanned the state APC chairman, Alhaji Uba Nana as Garkuwan Ningi.
According to the emir, the choice and turbaning of Uba Nana as a member of the emirate was as a result of his humanitarian activities, especially in the area of youth empowerment and strong commitment to helping the less privileged and facilitating developments in the local government.
The emir described the APC chieftain as a very industrious person who is dedicated to doing good to all and sundry, maintaining that the emirate recognizes selfless service.
Danyaya stated that the award of the traditional title was a special way of showing his personal appreciation and that of the entire people of Ningi emirate to the politician and to reciprocate his dedication and philanthropic gestures, especially to the people of Ningi.
He further said that the timing for the turbaning ceremony which was done on the emir’s 40th anniversary on the throne was deliberate, explaining that special people deserve special time to be rewarded.
“The ceremony today is now part of the history of Ningi Emirate.”
He said the traditional title was conferred on Nana along time ago but he was now officially turbanned and recognised as a council member in the Ningi emirate council.
