Bauchi state governor, Bala Mohammed Wednesday swore in new chief of staff, commissioners and special advisers he recently appointed.
Those sworn in include: Dr Ladan Salihu as chief of staff, Alhaji Garba Dahiru as commissioner and Hajiya Amina Muhammad Katagum, special adviser/focal person social investment programs (SIPs).
Swearing in the commissioners and advisers, Governor Bala said performance will be key and periodically benchmarked as a basis to remain in office.
The governor pointed out that his administration will not tolerate any corrupt practice and emphasised that the new appointees’ loyalty as public officers should be to God and the state.
He added that they “must at all times be seen to pursue honesty, transparency, accountability, equity, justice, fairness and unalloyed commitment to your duty in the course of your service to this state.”
