The Bauchi state governor, Bala Mohammed, Friday signed into law the 2023 budget appropriation, VAPP law, Fenal Court Law and the Administration of Criminal Justice Act Law, appreciating the House of Assembly for its support to his administration.
Speaking while assenting the bills held at the Council Chambers, Government House, Bauchi, he commended the leadership of the Assembly as well as the entire members for the timely passage of the 2023 budget, assuring that the state government will ensure timely implementation.
According to him, all the four bills are for the good of the state and directed relevant agencies of government to sustain their support in the implementation of the bills.
On the VAPP and Administration of criminal justice act bills, Governor Bala urged Judiciary and the security agencies to ensure total compliance in the implementation of the bills which will enhance among others, speedy dispensation of justice.
Earlier, the speaker of the Assembly, Abubakar Sulaiman, said the timely passage of the bills was to assist the state government to implement the laws for the progress and development of the state.
