Bauchi gov gives state pilgrims 300 riyal

Bauchi Ssate Governor Bala Abdukadir Mohammed, has given each pilgrim from the state 300 riyal equivalent to N30,000 as Hajj incentive.

The acting Executive Secretary of Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Malam Alkasim Danllami Shall, said this in an interview with newsmen while inspecting the disbursement of fund in Makkah.

A statement from the spokesperson of the board, Muhammad Sani Yunusa, in Makkah quoted Malam Shall as saying, “the additional gift by His Excellency the Governor of Bauchi state is to assist the pilgrims to intensify supplications and other ibadat in the holy land after completing the hajj rites.”

The secretary cautioned the pilgrims not to over spend the fund as Bauchi is still awaiting for it’s return schedule from the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).

He advised the pilgrims to reciprocate the gesture by continuing to pray for Governor Bala Mohammed and for peace and socio-economic development of Bauchi state and Nigeria in general.

In a separate interview at the venue, the beneficiaries Ahmad Ahmad Sallau and khadija Musa from Bauchi and Kurfi local government appreciated the governor’s interest towards ensuring that the welfare of the pilgrims was fully taken care of, right from the transit camp in Bauchi to Saudi Arabia.
