Bauchi: JAMB holds exam in Batches

Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) on Thursday  commenced its examination for 2019 in Bauchi state to students willing to secure admissions into universities, polytechnics and colleges of education.


A lecture at Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic (ATAP) Malam Mubarak Aminu which is one of the examination centres in the state explained that the examination is being conducted in batches. 


According to him, three batches of students estimated to be over 600 in number have written their examination today in the centre adding that the exercise will continue tomorrow. 


” The first batch entered examination hall by 8:am, second batch wrote their own at 12pm while the third have finished their by 4pm.”


” Other students will write tomorrow. This time around, Jamb has introduced a new system where by students do not write in one day. The new policy helps in avoiding overcrowding and addressing the problem of examination malpractices.’


” So far, the exercise as I observed it was conducted successfully and smoothly in this centre.”

He said other centres where the examination took place include Bauchi State University Gadau, Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU) Bauchi and Federal Polytechnic Bauchi.
