Bauchi lawmaker donates 100 cars to APC loyalists

The lawmaker representing Bauchi South in the National Assembly, Senator Lawal Yahya Gumau, has donated over 100 different sets of cars to his All Progressives Congress (APC) loyalists drawn from the seven local governments of the senatorial district.

The beneficiaries were selected from Alkaleri, Kirfi, Dass,Tafawa Balewa, Bogoro, Bauchi and Toro local governments.

Gumau, who was represented by a former House of Representatives member, Yusuf C. Nuhu, said the vehicles were distributed to recognise the party members who contributed immensely during the last 2019 elections.

He said in the last 41 days Senator Gumau had distributed 27 buses to various religious groups which included Jama’atul Nasrul Islam (JNI), Christians Association of Nigeria (CAN), Jama’atul Izalatul Bidia Wa Ikamatus Sunnah (JIBWIS), Tariqatul Tijjaniyya and Tariqatul Qadiriyya.

Speaking, on behalf of the beneficiaries, Comrade Sabo Mohammed commended the lawmaker for carrying party members along, saying that would encourage them to re-dedicate themselves to the progress of the party.
