Bauchi seeks collaborations of stakeholders in achieving SDGs

The Director General and Focal Person of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) in  Bauchi state, Maryam Bagel, has pledged to consider the inputs of stakeholders in the implementation of its projects.

She made the pledge at the opening ceremony of a 2-day workshop on the SDG’s 3 Years strategic development plan held in Bauchi.

She said the workshop was organised in order to get the inputs of the participants so as to assist the state to meet the SDGs goals.

According to her, the workshop will also afford her the opportunity to orient the participants on the activities of SDGs not only on implementation but tracking intervention based on the goals to achieve the desired objectives both in the public and private sectors.

“We are developing a 3 Year Strategic Development Plan on SDGs for the entire state, so we need the inputs of the participants that will assist our state to meet the SDGs goals.

“This workshop brings relevant partners together from Civil Society Organizations, Non-Governmental Organizations and desk officers from the 20 local government areas of the state,” she said.

She further appealed to stakeholders to give their maximum support towards achieving the objectives of organizing the workshop by deliberating on critical issues.
