Beach Volleyball: Nigeria to participate in invitational tourney

 

The Nigeria Volleyball Federation says it will participate in a beach volleyball invitational tournament in Yaounde, Cameroon on Friday.
Kehinde Lamidi, Chairman of Media and Publicity Committee of the NVF, said this on Thursday in Akure.
He said four of Nigeria’s Beach Volleyball players will be representing the country at the invitational beach volleyball tournament.
The players comprised two males, Hilary Simon and Ogunshina Obayemi and two females, Tochukwu Nnoruga and Ikhiede Francisca. Imoudu Francis will serve as the coach.
The players and the officials left Nigeria by road on Wednesday and are expected to compete with other countries in the tournament holding on Friday.
Teams from France, Canada, United States, DR Congo and host country Cameroon are expected to participate in the one-day tournament, billed as a day’s clinic for the teams.
The president of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation, who also doubles as the Chairman of the Beach Volleyball Commission, Musa Nimrod wished the Nigerian teams a successful outing.
Nigeria’s representatives are expected back in Nigeria on Saturday.
