Believe In Mr President Project launched

Patriotic citizens initiatives for community development and better Nigeria yesterday flagged off a campaign and inaugurated state coordinators of Believe In Mr. President Project.

Speaking yesterday during the programme in Abuja, Chairman of the group, Engr. Lucky Igbuwe, said they are interested in safeguarding and promoting the achievements of present administration adding that it is essential to work on fortifying Nigeria and peacefully co-existed through dialogue and sensitisation.

“Our mission is to preach the message of good governance and achievement of the present administration to all nooks and crannies of Nigeria thereby informing Nigerians on the need for a sustained team,” Igbuwe said, adding that there was a consensus of opinions amongst observers that this administration “is the best thing that has ever happened to Nigeria.”
He also noted the maturity displayed by Jonathan in handling the political crisis that led to defections of some of the PDP members.

The group also supported the recent suspension of the Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Malam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi.
“I believe Mr. President’s decision to suspend Malam Sanusi is justifiable and I don’t expect the issue to degenerated into a controversial one since President Jonathan said the CBN governor can return to his work after investigation.

“The CBN is an agency of the federal government. It is not a personal issue. You don’t run the CBN as if it is your personal empire. Are you a saint? Before you say anything against people, you make sure you don’t have a skeleton in your cupboard. The president asking this him to go on suspension is to allow investigation.”

He said nobody had been able to fault Jonathan’s achievements especially road construction and aviation sector, adding that the opposition should admit the successes recorded by his government.

Coordinators for all the 36 states and the FCT were inaugurated and were expected to mobilise young people in their states and replicate same in the zonal, local and ward levels.
He commended Jonathan for “his dramatic embrace and acknowledgement of the need to explore alternative methodologies in his quest to combat and end numerous strifes and conflicts pervading in the polity.”
