Niger state Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello, has expressed  shock at the sudden death of Hajiya Fatima Bintu Bagudu,(Maami), the youngest wife of the chairman, State Council of Traditional Rulers, Etsu Nupe, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar.
She died Sunday night at the National Hospital, Abuja after a brief illness at the age of 30.
The governor lamented that though all mortals must taste death, the early departure of the Etsu’s wife was so painful in view of her modest achievements within her brief stay.
“Though no one can determine when he or she will answer the call of the creator, we are only grieved now because Hajiya Fatima Bintu Bagudu, the wife of our esteemed and highly revered Etsu Nupe passed on at a very tender age”

“She will not only be missed by the palace for her humility, but by the entire Emirate Council for her doggedness in the promotion and preservation of the rich Nupe culture,”  Bello said.
The late Etsu’s wife was one of the daughters of Alhaji Mohammadu Bagudu Bello, the late Wazirin Nupe, who was popularly known as Alhaji Bagudu BCC, a prominent philanthropist and businessman and younger sister to the current Waziri Nupe, Senator Isa Mohammed.
According to Etsu Nupe palace source, the late Hajiya Fatima Bintu had been in Bida  after Janaiza prayers.
She is survived by the royal father, her mates, two children (Abdul and Khadija), brothers, sisters and other relations.
