Bello distributes 47 vehicles to Niger LG chairmen, others

Niger state Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello, yesterday distributed 47 vehicles worth N200 million to local government chairmen, education secretaries to enhance their services.

 

Other beneficiaries included local government auditors and state civil service commission.

 

Bello, while presenting the vehicles, said that the gesture was to ensure effective and efficient service delivery to the people.

 

He assured of his administration’s support to local government councils adding that they must work to uplift the living standard of the rural people.

 

He warned beneficiaries not to sell the vehicles adding that anybody that sold out his vehicle will face the wrath of the law.

 

Bello urged the education secretaries to rise to their responsibilities by effectively monitoring and inspecting schools to ensure improved standard of education in the state.

 

 

ALGON President and chairman of Rafi local government area, Alhaji Gambo Tanko Kagara, applauded the gesture from the state government, adding that this would go a long way in assisting them in carrying out their respective responsibilities.

 

Also the SUBEB chairman, Hon. Alhassan Bawa Nuwairo, said that the vehicles would assist education secretaries in going to every nooks and crannies of the local governments for monitoring and inspection of schools in the state.
