Kuje PDP embarks on reconciliation, membership drive

Ahead of the 2019 elections, the Kuje chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has stated that it had commenced arrangements to draw more members and reposition the party for victory.
The PDP chairman, Hon. Ismaila Mohammed, after the stakeholders’ meeting, disclosed that realigning of the party was to bring its executive together and chart a way forward.
He said the recent meeting was to reconciled and initiate strategies that would guarantee its victory at the chairman and councillors’ election come 2019.
Mohammed said there were issues left unsolved at the previous election, adding that there was the need to resolve the issues and put the party in a better position before elections would take place in 2019.
According to him, if there are issues that may be threat to the party’s chances during the forthcoming election and that addressing them remains the party’s priority.
A statement by the Publicity Secretary of the party, Sir Henry Ugbaja, at the weekend indicated that the party’s concern was to see that all its members “come together under one umbrella with a view to gingering up the supporters.”
The statement added that the party’s major focus was to reconcile the aggrieved members and chart a way forward.
Also speaking, a former chairman of Kuje area council and member of the PDP, Hon. Tete Ishaku Shaban, at the meeting declared his interest to run for Abuja South Federal Constituency in 2019.
